Always fancied a trip to the Big Apple? This is your chance to see the sights and take part in the ING New York City Marathon.

The marathon is renowned as one of the biggest and best in the world, partly for its amazing route, which weaves through the famous boroughs of Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Manhattan.

It promises to be an incredible experience and New York really gets into the marathon spirit with good luck banners adorning shop windows, bars and restaurants.

Fundraising
Breast Cancer Care has fantastic packages available for the ING New York Marathon via 2:09 Events Ltd. As a valued member of Team Breast Cancer Care you will receive our full support from the moment you sign up. The is no minimum fundraising target, we just ask you to raise as much as you can. As a runner on our team you will need to pay for the cost of your package yourself, however in order to support you as much as possible we will refund some or all of your costs.

How we will support you
In addition, in return for pledging to raise money for us we will support you by providing you with:
* A state of the art running vest
* A support pack full of fundraising & training advice
* Breast Cancer Care cheering squad in New York to cheer you round the course
* Post-race celebratory reception in New York
* A training plan and top tips from our sports ambassador Denise Lewis
* Support and advice from a dedicated member of the sports team
* Regular newsletters and emails to keep you updated
* A goody bag packed with foot creams, foot soaks and everything you need to get you back on your feet!
* Fundraising materials to help you including balloons, posters and collection tins

How to enter
To secure your place simply fill in the application form on http://events.breastcancercare.org.uk and return to 2:09 Events. You can contact them on 0870 3500 209, or download additional application forms from www.209events.com (we recommend staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, on Times Square itself, where you will have the opportunity to meet your fellow Breast Cancer Care team mates). When you have secured your place do let us know by emailing us at running@breastcancercare.org.uk or calling 0845 092 0804 as we would be delighted to welcome you to our fantastic team.

Please ensure you mark somewhere on your booking form that you are running for Breast Cancer Care or inform 2:09 Events if you are booking over the phone.

If you already have a place
If you’ve been lucky enough to gain your own place we would love you to join the Breast Cancer Care team. We support all our runners in the same way. To join the team please email running@breastcancercare.org.uk with:

* Address
* Telephone number
* Running vest size

Alternatively, please contact us on 0845 092 0804. Once you are signed up we will send you a race support pack and a running vest to get you started.
